Don’t let myths about modular homes keep you from
realizing your dream of home ownership!

Myth 1:  Modular is a type of home or class of housing.

Modular construction is a building process, not a different kind of home. A modular home factory is where they construct stick-built homes in a controlled environment. The same materials, plans, and processes are all involved in the process. The advantage for the home owner is that the home can be built for less because material is bought in bulk and there are no weather delays.

Myth 2:  Modular construction only works for single-family homes.

Today it is not only homes being constructed using the Modular process. 17 story buildings are being constructed with steel modules. Townhomes, apartments, and commercial buildings, as well as single-family homes are all being constructed using the Modular process..
